The Drupal.org team recently released version 7.28 for the Drupal core platform.
Drupal 7.28 is a maintenance update only. There are no security fixes in this update. It focuses on addressing bug fixes and several small API and feature improvements. Note that the
official release statement points to a known issue where changes made to the Update Manager module “may lead to performance slowdowns in certain cases.”
This version also rolls in the recent Drupal security updates to the 7x and 6x versions as well. Drupal versions 7.27 and 6.31 addressed several critical security vulnerabilities that were fixed by the Drupal Security Team. For more information on the security issues that were addressed in those updates, please read our
news item.
