PowerDNN is excited to be participating in this year’s inaugural “DNN Connect” meeting in Europe. The meeting in Italy will be the weekend of May 17-18.
Jeff Hardy, PowerDNN’s Director of Communications, will be giving a feature technology presentation in Italy on “Compliance in the Cloud.”
Compliance needs are nothing new in the industry, but a recent heavy emphasis on digital documentation — particularly of healthcare and ecommerce data — has put a renewed focus on the importance of meeting specific compliance requirements and objectives. Particularly, as more large-scale companies that handle confidential healthcare information shift from internal website and IT solutions, to external cloud-focused solutions, it’s important for developers and website owners to understand how they can best meet these compliance needs.

“Privacy and security are becoming the most important topic in website technology today,” Hardy said. “But in order for a website to be compliant and secure, the attention to compliance and security has to be brought to every aspect of website creation, from the datacenter, to the users, and everything in-between.”
Hardy has more than 20 years working with technology companies, and he is well-versed in the rigors of creating website solutions for compliance-focused businesses. He’s excited to share his knowledge with the attendees of DNN Connect 2014, and to help position our European DotNetNuke partners to better take advantage of the new business opportunities emerging for companies who can develop solid website solutions that solve an organization’s compliance needs.
“It requires a constant coordinating and interaction between hosting companies, datacenter providers, developers, and site owners,” Hardy said.
DNN Connect 2014 is the largest European community gathering of people who use the DotNetNuke / DNN platform. The event is designed to “bring together leading DNN technology partners,” and this year it will be at beautiful Lake Garda in the Italian Alps.
PowerDNN has been a strong proponent of DNN community events since version 1.0. The company regularly sponsors DotNetNuke events and user groups around the world to help promote the growth of the CMS and the sharing of ideas within the DNN community. With the growing foothold DNN is gaining in the European technology communities, it’s only natural that the PowerDNN team would participate in the DNN Connect meeting.
As part of its commitment to the European technology and DotNetNuke communities, PowerDNN recently opened its newest global datacenter in the Netherlands. The Amsterdam-based facility has gone through rigorous testing, and
is now live.
