How to Change an Existing FTP Account Username or Password

When you signed up for a hosting account with us, you received your FTP account credentials in your welcome email. If you need to change those credentials, follow the steps below.

In Plesk 12.5

  1. Log into the Control Panel.
  2. In the My Subscriptions section to the right of the Overview section select (Your Domain).
  3. In the Websites & Domains tab, expand Show More if it isn't expanded by default.
  4. Select FTP Access.
  5. Select your FTP account.
  6. In the System User section modify the Username ,Password and Confirm Password fields as needed. Click OK.

In Plesk 12.x

  1. Log into the Control Panel.
  2. In the My Subscriptions section to the right of the Overview section select Manage Hosting.
  3. Select the Websites & Domains tab and expand Show More at the bottom of the page.
  4. Select FTP Access.
  5. Select your FTP account.
  6. In the General section modify the Username ,Password and Confirm Password fields as needed. Click OK.
In Plesk 11.x
  1. Log into the Control Panel.
  2. In the My Subscriptions section to the right of the Overview section select Manage Hosting.
  3. Select the Websites & Domains tab.
  4. Select FTP Access.
  5. Select your FTP account.
  6. In the User Account section modify the Username ,Password and Confirm Password fields as needed. Click OK.

In Plesk 9.x

  1. Log into the Control Panel.
  2. Click on Domains then select the domain you need to manage.
  3. In the Web Site section click on the Web Hosting Settings button. 
  4. Type in your new FTP username and password. 
  5. Scroll down to the bottom and click OK
