Your Site is Displaying a DotNetNuke Under Construction Page
Issue
When you attempt to access your site a default DotNetNuke Under Construction page is displayed.
In DNN versions 7.0 and above, this will show as a 500 Internal Server Error.
Cause
Your site was showing the Under Construction page because of a known DotNetNuke issue in which it is unable to connect to the SQL database. According to DotNetNuke Corp. Wiki, "The special case is when the host restarts the SQL service while the site is active. Restarting the SQL service while the site is active will break the connection to the database and display the under construction page." If you would like further information on this issue please refer to the http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Under-Construction.aspx page.
Resolution
To resolve this issue you will need to restart the Application Pool of your site. If you are unsure of how to do this please refer to our How to Recycle a Websites IIS Application Pool in Our Environment article.
