Adding Domain Aliases (IIS Host Headers) Through the Control Panel
Domain aliases allow multiple domain names to utilize the same content. With the use of a CMS, domain alias can allow you to have multiple web sites run on the same installation of the CMS while displaying domain specific content. To add a domain alias, please follow these instructions:

Plesk Obsidian and Onyx:
- Login to your Plesk control panel
- From Websites & Domains select the Add Domain Alias button
- Enter the alias name you wish to use
- Configure the settings as needed
- Synchronize DNS zone will use the same DNS template for the alias as the parent domain
- Mail service will enable mail to be sent to the alias's address
- Web service will allow the alias to be reachable as a website
- Redirect will redirect all traffic from the alias to the parent domain
- Click OK to save your changes
Plesk 12.x:
- Login to your Plesk control panel
- From Subscriptions click on the name of the domain you want to add an alias to
- Select the Add Domain Alias button
- Enter the alias name you wish to use
- Configure the settings as needed
- Synchronize DNS zone will use the same DNS template for the alias as the parent domain
- Mail service will enable mail to be sent to the alias's address
- Web service will allow the alias to be reachable as a website
- Redirect will redirect all traffic from the alias to the parent domain
- Click OK to save your changes
If you are using our name servers, the new DNS settings should take effect within 30 - 60 minutes. If you are using other name servers, contact your registrar to update your DNS records.
