How to Manage Domains on a Dedicated Server

On our shared servers you are able to manage both the billing and server functions when you login to your customer account. If you own a dedicated server you will only be able to manage the billing functions of your account from the customer login. Connect to the Plesk Control Panel on your Dedicated Server to Manage Domains, Mail, FTP and other Server Settings
  • Launch Remote Desktop to connect to your dedicated server.
  • Double click the Plesk shortcut on your desktop. 
  • If you do not have a shortcut open a browser and navigate to https://localhost:8443. Notice that this uses the secured https protocol and the URL begins with https unlike regular URLs. 
  • If you do not want to remote into your server Plesk can also be accessed remotely using the full IP address of your server. https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8443.
You can also give your clients (named Customers in Plesk 11) access to the Control Panel to manage their account and domains. If you want to give them the ability to allocate resources to their customers, make them Resellers, not customers.
 
Plesk 12.x
  1. In the left navigation bar go to Hosting Services > Customers.
  2. Click on the Customer Name for the customer you would like to manage.
  3. Click on Change Login Info.
  4. From here you can set the username and password.
  5. The customer can log into Plesk using https://ipaddress:8443 where ipaddress is the IP address of your dedicated server.

Plesk 11.x
  1. In the left navigation bar go to Hosting Services > Customers.
  2. Click on the Customer Name for the customer you would like to manage.
  3. Click on Change Login Info.
  4. From here you can set the username and password.
  5. The customer can log into Plesk using https://ipaddress:8443 where ipaddress is the IP address of your dedicated server.
Plesk 9.x
  • Under Main Menu click on Clients.
  • Click on the User Name for the client you would like to manage.
  • Under the Account section click on Personal Data.
  • From here you can set the login and password.
  • The client can log into Plesk using https://ipaddress:8443 where ipaddress is the ip address of your dedicated server.
