Download an Image Works in FireFox but Not Internet Explorer
Issue
You have an image on your website that renders and downloads correctly in FireFox, but in Internet Explorer it does not download and instead displays a red X.
Possible Cause
The issue that you are running into is an extremely rare issue, and it is actually not a problem with DotNetNuke or your hosting account, but is instead a problem with Internet Explorer and the file type that you saved the image in. When working with images, there are two color formats that are generally used: RGB - (Red - Green - Blue) - used for computer images CMYK - (Cyan - Magenta - Yellow - Key [Black]) - used for print images. If you are creating an image for use on the web, it should be developed using RGB color coding. If you are creating an image for print media, it should be developed using CMYK color coding. Internet Explorer can not render images that use CMYK color coding, however, some versions of FireFox can.
Resolution
Contact your graphics designer and have them save your images in RGB color coding and then re-upload them to your site.
