My Administrator Account is Disabled - I Can Not Log onto My Dedicated Server
Issue
I can not log onto my dedicated server because my administrator account is disabled.
Cause
The domain controller, not the local server was selected at login, which has a disabled administrator account.
Resolution
Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012
- Click on Use another account.
- Type \administrator in the username field and the associated password.
Windows Server 2003
- Click on the drop down and select your Server Name. This will log you onto the server instead of the domain controller used for our own internal access.
- Enter the Server's username and password to proceed in logging into the server.
- Click on Use another account.
- Type \administrator in the username field and the associated password.
Windows Server 2008
- Click on Use another account.
- Type \administrator in the username field and the associated password.
