MailEnable Appears to Be Deleting Emails

Issue
MailEnable appears to be deleting emails, or not deleting emails to local recipients.
Cause
In some versions of MailEnable, bug related to how pickup events occur can cause email not to be delivered to local recipients.
Solution
This issue requires an edit of the Windows Registry. Before making any changes to the registry on a server always make a back of it. To resolve the issue:
- Log into your dedicated server using Remote Desktop.
- Start the registry editor by clicking on Start > Run and typing regedit.
- Navigate to \H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mail Enable\Agents\MTA\
- Remove the following items:
Pickup Event Class Name
Pickup Event Command
- Then restart the Mail Enable Mail Transfer Agent service:
- Click Start > All Programs > MailEnable
- Open MailEnable Administrator
- Expand MailEnable Management > Servers Local Host > Agents
- Right click MTA
- Click Stop and wait for the MTA to stop.
- Right click MTA
- Click Start.
