How to Create a Portal Alias in DotNetNuke
If you would like to create a portal alias in DotNetNuke follow the steps below.

In order to make a portal in DotNetNuke work you will need to first add a domain alias for it in your Control Panel. Related article: How to Create Domain Aliases (IIS Host Headers)
DotNetNuke 9
- Log into your DotNetNuke installation as the Host user.
- Navigate to Site Settings.
- Click on Site Behavior > Site Aliases.
- Click Add Alias.
- Type in your new alias, this should be a fully qualified domain name such as domain.com, or www.domain.net only.
- Click the Save button.
DotNetNuke 6, 7, and 8
- Log in to your DotNetNuke installation as the Host user.
- Navigate to Admin > Site Setting.
- Click the Advanced Settings tab.
- Expand Site Aliases.
- Click Add New Alias.
- Type in your new alias, this should be a fully qualified domain name such as domain.com, or www.domain.net only.
- Click the Save button (disk icon).
DotNetNuke 4 and 5
- Log in to your DotNetNuke installation as the Host user.
- Navigate to Admin > Site Setting > Portals > Advanced Settings > Portal Aliases.
- Click Add New Alias.
- Type in your new alias, this should be in the form of domain.com or www.domain.com only.
- Click the Save button (disk icon).
