How to Restore Your Site Using a Backup Created in Plesk

Plesk 12.5 Backup Restore

  1. Log into your Control Panel.
  2. Click on Subscriptions, then the Domain
  3. At the top right, select the Backup Manager.
  4. Click on the Backup you wish to restore from.
  5. Select the All objects (entire system).
  6. By default all Components are selected. Since only the site is being restored. Make sure only Virtual host content and Database are selected. If you wish to also restore your mail as well select the Mail option.
  7. Make sure the Suspend domain option is left unchecked.
  8. Click Restore

  Plesk 11.x Backup Restore
  1. Log into your Control Panel.
  2. On the Home tab in the My Subscriptions panel select Manage Hosting. (If the correct domain isn't listed, choose it from the drop down menu in the upper right.)
  3. Select the Websites & Domains tab.
  4. Select the Backup Manager.
  5. In the Backup Manager window you will see a section named Backups.
  6. Click the name of the backup to start the restore process.
  7. Once you have selected the backup in the Restoration Options.
  8. To restore just your site and database select Virtual host content & Databases; this will restore all of your settings and content.
  9. Click Restore to begin the restoration process.

Plesk 9.x Backup Restore
  1. Log into your Control Panel.
  2. Click the Domains button and then the domain name you want to restore.
  3. Select Backup Manager.
  4. In the Server Repository tab click on the backup you wish to restore from.
  5. On the screen that pops up, check Domain Configuration, Virtual Host Content and Databases; this will restore all of your settings and content.
  6. Click the Restore button
  7. When the Resolution Rules for Restoration Conflicts screen comes up click Next to begin the restore process.
Once the restore process has completed look over your site and ensure that all of the content is in proper working order. If there is missing or non-functional content, please submit a support ticket to our support team with the list of any errors that you received.
