How to Blacklist an IP Address in SmarterMail

Plesk Servers > Email
  1. Log into SmarterMail as the SmarterMail admin
  2. Click on Security in the left hand column (The shield icon)
  3. Click on Blacklist
  4. Click New to create a new entry
  5. Enter the IP Address or the IP Range you wish to block
  6. Select the services you wish to block that IP for
  7. Enter a description, if you wish
  8. Click Save
Adding an IP address or a range of IP addresses to the SmarterMail blacklist will allow you to block those IP addresses from accessing SmarterMail services. This is useful if you find an IP address that is attempting to brute force one of those services.
