How to Change Your Database Password
Plesk 12.5
- Log into your Managed.com Control Panel.
- In the upper right hand corner, select the subscription that contains the database you wish to manage.
- Click the Domains tab and select your domain.
- Click on Websites & Domains tab.
- On the right side of the page, click Databases.
- Click User Management tab on the right side of the page
- Click on the database user you wish to change the password for.
- Type in the new password twice and click OK to confirm the change.
- Update any configuration files that may need the new database password, such as your web.config.
Plesk 12.x
- Log into your Managed.com Control Panel.

- Click Users tab on top of the page
- Click on the database user you wish to change the password for.
- Type in the new password twice and click OK to confirm the change.
- Update any configuration files that may need the new database password, such as your web.config.
Plesk 11.x
- Log into your Managed.com Control Panel.
- In the upper right hand corner, select the subscription that contains the database you wish to manage.
- Click the Domains tab and select your domain.
- Click on the Databases section.
- Click on the database that you wish to manage.
- Click on the database user you wish to change the password for.
- Type in the new password twice and click OK to confirm the change.
- Update any configuration files that may need the new database password, such as your web.config.
Note: Plesk 11 has a 14 character password limit, however it will not prevent you from typing more. If you type more than 14 characters, it will only accept the first 14.
Plesk 9.x
- Log into your Managed.com Control Panel
- In the upper right hand corner, select the subscription that contains the database you wish to manage.
- Click on the Domains button and select your domain.
- Click on the Databases button, under the Applications & Services sections.
- Click on the database that you wish to manage.
- Click on the database user you wish to change the password for.
- Type in the new password twice and click OK to confirm the change.
- Update any configuration files that may need the new database password, such as your web.config.
