How to Enable Scripting Languages in Plesk
ASP.NET, PHP, CGI, Perl, and Python can be enabled on a per domain/subscription basis. By only enabling the languages you need, you avoid opening up your website to potential vulnerabilities.
Plesk 12.5
- Log into your Plesk Control Panel.
- Click the Domains tab.
- Click the domain on which you want to enable a scripting language.
- Click Hosting Settings.
- Under Web Scripting and Statistics check the appropriate setting based on your needs.
The PHP support drop down offers CGI, FastCGI and ISAPI extensions as options.
- Click OK to apply the setting.
Plesk 12
- Log into your Plesk Control Panel.
- Click the Domains tab.
- Click the domain on which you want to enable a scripting language.
- Click the Websites & Domains tab.
- Expand Show More under the domain name.
- Click Hosting Settings.
- Under Web Scripting and Statistics check the appropriate setting based on your needs.
The PHP support drop down offers CGI, FastCGI and ISAPI extensions as options.
- Click OK to apply the setting.
Plesk 9
- Log into your Plesk Control Panel.
- Click Domains.
- Select the domain upon which you want to enable an additional scripting language.
- Click Web Hosting Settings.
- Under Services, check the appropriate setting.
- Click OK to apply the setting.
