Change Default Documents
This article explains how to change or reorder the default documents for your website using Parallels Plesk Panel 12, Plesk 11, or Plesk 9.

Please note: If you are using DotNetNuke 7.1 or above and have the Advanced FriendlyURL enabled you will need to disable it in order to have the default documents function correctly.
In Plesk 12.x
- Log into the Control Panel. Click on Domains.
- Select the domain you want to manage.
- Select the Websites & Domains tab.
- Select Show More under the domain name.
- Select Virtual Directories.
- Select Directory Properties button.
- In the Documents section change the default documents as needed.
In Plesk 11.x
- Log into the Control Panel. Click on Domains.
- Select the domain you want to manage.
- Select the Websites & Domains tab.
- Select Show Advanced Operations.
- Select Virtual Directories.
- Select Directory Properties button.
- In the Documents section change the default documents as needed.
In Plesk 9.x
- Log into the Control Panel. Click on Domains.
- Select the domain you want to manage.
- In the Files section click Files and select Web Directories (see image below).
- Click on the Directory Properties icon (see below image).
- In the Documents section change or add default documents as needed.
