Editing DNS Records For a Domain Alias in the Control Panel (IIS Host Header)

If you need to edit the DNS records for a domain alias in your control panel you can follow the  steps below.

Plesk 12.5

  1. Log in to your Control Panel.
  2. Select the Domains tab, and click on the name of the alias you wish to manage.
  3. At the bottom of the panel is a 'DNS Settings' button. This button will lead you to the page that will allow you to edit your DNS settings for the domain.

Plesk 12.x

  1. Log in to your Control Panel.
  2. In the My Subscriptions section, click the domain associated with the alias you wish to manage DNS for. (If the correct domain isn't listed, choose it from the drop down menu in the upper right.)
  3. Select the Websites & Domains tab.
  4. Each alias has it's own section in the page. Find the alias you wish to work with and expand out the panel. This will be found as a 'Show More' button.
  5. At the bottom of the panel is a 'DNS Settings' button. This button will lead you to the page that will allow you to edit your DNS settings for the domain.

Plesk 11.X

  1. Log in to your Control Panel.
  2. In the My Subscriptions section click the domain associated with the alias you wish to manage DNS for. (If the correct domain isn't listed, choose it from the drop down menu in the upper right.)
  3. Select the Websites & Domains tab.
  4. Under your list of domains at the bottom of this page click on the Alias you want to manage the DNS for.
  5. Click on the DNS icon. If this icon is not active ensure that the Syncronize DNS zone box is unchecked.
  6. This page will allow to you add or remove any DNS records as required.

Plesk 9.X

  1. Log in to your Control Panel.
  2. Click on Domains.
  3. Select the domain the alias you need to manage DNS for is under.
  4. Under Web Site click the Domain Aliases icon.
  5. In the list of Domain Aliases click on the Alias you want to manage the DNS for.
  6. Click on the DNS icon. If this icon is not active ensure that the Syncronize DNS zone box is unchecked.
  7. This page will allow to you add or remove any DNS records as required.
