Unable to Change Host Password in DNN 7.0.2 and 7.0.3
Issue:
When you try to change the password for the SuperUser Account and click on the pencil next to the account name, the following error message is displayed:
"A critical error has occurred. Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
Cause:
This is a known bug in DotNetNuke versions 7.0.2 and 7.0.3.This bug is on the list of issues to be fixed in DNN 7.0.4.
Solution:
In the interim, to change the host password, click on SuperUserAccount > My Profile > Edit Profile > Manage Password tab and change your password to a strong, secure password. Article ID: 1808, Created: January 22, 2013 at 1:45 PM, Modified: August 25, 2014 at 2:42 PM
